

In 2003, Trey signed to Atlantic Records after being discovered by Troy Taylor who became his mentor.

In high school, he was an avid athlete playing football, basketball and baseball. Trey attended church every Sunday with his family, where he sang in the choir. He began singing as a child and worked hard to perfect his craft. He was raised by his mother April Tucker while living in the city's projects. Trey was born Tremaine Aldon Neverson on Novemin Petersburg, Virginia. Trey started his career in 2005 with his debut album, I Gotta Make It, and has since become one of the most successful R&B singers of all time.
